For everybody. With dignity. Every time.

They are not a problem to solve. They are our homies.

Project Feed the Homies brings meals, clothing, toiletries, free haircuts, and real human connection to 200–300 homies across Atlanta every month.

This number is big. The people behind it matter more. Every plate represents a person who deserved to be met with care, conversation, and respect.

Why I started

I know what it feels like when “help is available” but you cannot actually reach it in time.

Project Feed the Homies did not begin as a résumé line or a feel-good idea. It grew from lived experience.

Alexis Robinson experienced eviction herself. When she looked for emergency help, programs had no funds, long waitlists, or requirements she could not meet before the clock ran out. The distance between falling behind and losing her home was about a month.

That experience changed how she saw people facing hardship. She does not call the people served “the homeless.” She calls them her homies: people, just like her, going through a storm.

Today, Alexis has earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and continues her graduate social-work education at the University of Kentucky, building toward doctoral study. The goal remains the same: combine direct care, mental-health understanding, and advocacy that addresses what happens beyond one meal.

What showing up looks like

Immediate care. Lasting dignity.

We cannot fix every barrier in one Sunday. We can meet the person in front of us without judgment and keep coming back.

01

A hot plate

A real meal and one less thing to worry about today.

02

What you need

Clothing and toiletries chosen to offer comfort, not leftovers.

03

A fresh cut

Because confidence and feeling like yourself still matter.

04

Real connection

Conversation, laughter, and the reminder that you are not invisible.
